The Book Blogger Hop: March 18-21st

Book Blogger HopThe Book Blogger Hop is a weekly event hosted by Jennifer at Crazy for Books and runs from Friday to Sunday. The Hop is a fantastic way to get your blog noticed more and visit some other cool blogs that you didn't know about before. Head over and sign up and see what you can find!

Each week a different twist will be added to the hop so that everyone gets to know each other better so here's my little bit of information this week.

"Do you read only one book at a time, or do you have several going at once?"

I always read more than one book at a time.  The reason for this is that I read books in many different formats.  For example I have the main book I am reading which is usually a standard paperbound book.  Then I have the audio book that I listen to on my drive to and from work; so that is another book.  I am usually also reading a book on my Kindle since I read on that while I am walking on the treadmill (way easier than trying to hold a normal book) and I also read the e-book through my Kindle app on my phone whenever I get caught somewhere with a small amount of time on my hands.

So usually I have at least 2-3 books that I read at any one time.  I generally try to make sure they are somewhat different.  For example I won't read three urban fantasies at one time.  I will read an urban fantasy, a fantasy, and a young adult novel; something like that.  If the books are too similar I have trouble with mixing up characters and plots.

  3. Not everyone can multi-task and nobody should. When it comes to book sure, I can't read four books simultaneously (or even two, for that matter!) but there are times I'll juggle as many as four books at a time depending on the subject matter, the urgency or more often both.

The real trick to this is what KINDS of books to juggle. Hop on over to my blog and learn the method behind my madness - http://www.howardshermannet
