In My Mailbox and Mailbox Monday - 7/11

IMM is a meme started at The Story Siren with some inspiration from Alea of Pop Culture Junkie.

Anyone can participate in IMM and you are not limited to only sharing books that arrive via your mailbox. You can also share books that you've bought or books that you've gotten at the library.

Mailbox Monday can be found at: The Printed Page

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week (checked out library books don’t count, eBooks & audio books do). Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

I got eleven books.  Audible.com was having a $5.95 paperback sale; so I picked up the audio books Ship Breaker by Paolo Bacigalupi and Destines to an Early Grave by Jeaniene Frost.  Then I also had to pick up the next audio book in The Iron Druid Chronicles, Hammered.  I am absolutely adoring this new urban fantasy series by Kevin Hearne.

I got three e-books for review, all of them through NetGalley.com:  The Hair Wreath and Other Stories by Halli Villegas, The Revisionists by Thomas Mullen, and Criminal Macabre Omnibus by Steve Niles.  All of these sound really interesting.

I bought four books this week.  The first was one I pre-ordered a while back called The Eyeball Collector; I have really enjoyed all of the books in these Tales from the Sinister City and really look forward to reading this one.  The other three were cheap/free Kindle books.  Hunted by the Others is one that I have looked at picking up off and on and it was free today, The Amulet was another one I have been wanting to read that was free today, and A Happily Ever After of Her Own is something that I have been waiting to buy for a while and I saw the price was going up...so I decided to buy it before it got too expensive.

Lastly I got Bloodlust by Michelle Rowen from the library.

Hope you guys all got great books this week.  Also hope you have a happy week of reading ahead.

  1. I totally love the Iron Druid Chronicles! They seem to be getting popular right now. I've only read the free short story prequel so far, but I'm dying to get to the first book. I heard the sample on Audible.com, but I don't like who was cast as Atticus. I'll just read the books--that's good enough for me. I can hear voices in my head that I think are better for Atticus and Oberon.
