IMM is a meme started at The Story Siren with some inspiration from Alea of Pop Culture Junkie.
Anyone can participate in IMM and you are not limited to only sharing books that arrive via your mailbox. You can also share books that you've bought or books that you've gotten at the library.
Mailbox Monday can be found at: The Printed Page
Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week (checked out library books don’t count, eBooks & audio books do). Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.
I got six books this week and lots of comics. You can watch the video below to see them or click on the pictures below for more info! Watch the video for a preview of all of the comics I got.
Hope you all got some great book and have a great week of reading ahead.

I'm tempted to pick up Nix's book, but I'm just not sure how I feel about it yet. Hope it's great though. Yay for comics!!

Eden's Root Giveaway!
Aw, I wish they would have had the Owly comic. It was part of an anthology and they had some cute stories in it.
ReplyDeleteOne that I really enjoyed was Pirate Penguin vs. Ninja Chicken by Ray Friesen. Here's the Goodreads link to the graphic novel. You might like it! =)
The Saga of Rex looks awesome too! I'm glad to hear that you liked it. Great haul!
Hi Megan,
ReplyDeleteI realized after I posted the video that those were only the ones from the "adult" bag. My son had a bag full of kid ones and the Owly one along with many others were in there. I thought they put all the kid ones in the adult bag too but I was wrong.
So I do have the Owly one! Did you see the Free Comic Day button had a picture of Owly on it? I picked one up to hang in my cube at work :-)
Glad to hear that everyone loves Insurgent, I am definitely going to try and read it in the next couple weeks. I just finished Bitterblue which was massive and need to read a couple lighter books before I dive into another massive undertaking!
No, I didn't see that. I don't think they had anything other than just comics. :(
DeleteMy store didn't have a lot to choose from, I think they had maybe 15-20 different comics. We were allowed to take 10, but I'm happy with what I got. The others didn't peak my interest that much anyways. :)
Yeah, I am not interested in maybe half the ones I got.
ReplyDeleteThe comic store up near our house does it pretty big. They have people dressed up as comics book characters, 20% of everything in the store, and illustrators doing signings.
I'll have to take a picture of the button so that you can see it.
That sounds like a lot of fun! I got to our store about 45 minutes early, nobody there. Drove around for a bit, came back 15 minutes later, still nobody. When the store opened there were maybe 5-8 people total. It wasn't very eventful LOL
DeleteI can't wait to see the picture! Have you read Atomic Robo yet? I finished it today and LOVED it. Luckily my library has the first two volumes!
We got to the Source about 30 minutes early and the line was around the whole building. Then they opened the store 15 minutes early because it was starting to rain.
DeleteI saw the Atomic Robo and it looks fabulous, but I haven't gotten a chance to read it yet. I will definitely be checking it out soon!
You have an awesome haul!!! Great Vlog! here is mine.

Looks like you had an amazing week -- enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved Thirteenth Child and hope you do too! I really need to see if I can find out when the third book in the series is coming out.
