Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week my teaser is from "Rosemary and Rue" (An October Daye Novel) by Seana McGuire. This is the first of the October Daye books. You can find my teaser below.
Here it is: "There weren't any fairy tales in the streets around me. If there ever was a Cinderella, her glass slippers shattered under her weight and she limped home bleeding from the ball" Pg. 30
Great teaser - love the image/twist on Cinderella ;)
ReplyDeleteHere is mine:
ReplyDelete"Let p and q be propositions".
"The inductive hypothesis states that we can reach each of the first k rungs. To complete the inductive step, we need to show that if we assume the inductive hypothesis for the positive integer k, namely, if we assume that we can reach the kth rung of the ladder, then we can show that we can reach the (k+1) rung of the ladder."

Sounds like some heavy stuff...
