Mailbox Monday - 5/17

Mailbox Monday can be found at: The Printed Page

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week (checked out library books don’t count, eBooks & audio books do). Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

I got four books in my mailbox last week.  Two were from paperbackswap.com; those were the anthology "Night's Edge" and "From the Mixed up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler"

The third from from Librarything.com Early Reviewer's Program and that one was Cyclist BikeList by Laura Robinson.  Looks like a great book on basic bike maintenance, which is something I could definitely brush up on.

The fourth book I bought; this one was Volcano: A Visual Guide.  My son is obsessed with Volcanoes right now and this is an awesome book.  It is full of tons of beautiful pictures with short descriptions and had some interesting volcanic things that I had never seen or heard of before.  It even talks about volcanoes on different planets!  Highly recommended!

Hope you all got some interesting books!  Happy reading :-)

From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E. L. Konigsburg
From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler

She chooses the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Knowing that her younger brother, Jamie, has money and thus can help her with the serious cash flow problem she invites him along.
Once settled into the museum, Claudia and Jamie, find themselves caught up in the mystery of an angel statue that the museum purchased at an auction for a bargain price of $250. The statue is possibly an early work of the Renaissance master Michelangelo, and therefore worth millions. Is it? Or isn't it? Claudia is determined to find out.
