2010 - GLBT Reading Challenge

I am joining the "GLBT" Reading Challenge in 2010 hosted by GLBT Reading. I am going to aim for Lambda Level (4 books) but hope to hit a higher level. This is my first year doing challenges so we will see how it goes.

Info on the challenge can be found by clicking on the button below or reading the info below.

The Story Siren

Rules/Guidelines:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The basic idea of this challenge is to read books about GLBT topics and/or by GLBT authors.

The challenge runs year-round, and there will be three levels of participation:

* Lambda Level: Read 4 books.
* Pink Triangle Level: Read 8 books.
* Rainbow Level: Read 12 or more books.

You don't need to choose your books right away, and they can change at any time. Overlaps with other challenges are fine.

In January, I will put up a post for you to leave links to your reviews, if you like. Those links can help serve as a reference for others. That will also be how I track participants for prize drawings.

Prizes! There will be prizes, both for this main challenge and for various mini-challenges throughout the year. Keep an eye on the blog for detail

I will be listing my books below as I read them/pick them. I will add links to the reviews when I get them read. My picks will have a decidedly fantasy/paranormal bent to them, because, well, that's what I like to read!

It looks to be a fun contest, so feel free to join!

1.Wildthorn by Jane Eagland
2. Wicked Gentlemen by Ginn Hale
3. The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin
4. Fireflies by Ally Blue
5. WWW: Watch by Robert Sawyer
6. Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan
7. Bloodshot by Cherie Priest
8. Huntress by Malinda Lo

  3. I'm interested to see what you think of most of these. I've heard some good stuff but never read them.

  4. Hi Lauren,

I have had most of these on my to be read list for over a year! This will give me an excuse to actually make the time to read them :-) I am hoping they are really good!
