Each week a different twist will be added to the hop so that everyone gets to
know each other better so here's my little bit of information this week.
This week's question is the following:
“What’s the LONGEST book you’ve ever read?”
(Note: I’m putting one caveat on this question. You aren’t allowed to say the Bible, Torah, Qur’an, or other religious/spiritual text.)
The first book that comes to mind is To Green Angel Tower (Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn) by Tad Williams. This book was 1104 pages long, the other reason it pops in to my head is that I read it all in under two days during spring break in high school.
The second book that pops into my head is Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon; which I read forever...at least it seemed like forever. Cryptonomicon was 1169 pages long.
So those are the two longest I can think of right now :-)
You read a 1,000 page book in only 2 days!? Amazing...

I used to be able to do that when I didn't have school, a job, a kid, or have to make my own meals :-) Didn't happen very often though!
ReplyDeleteThat one time is pretty much a record for me :-)

Pfft... I wish I could get 1000+ pages read in 2 days. The longest one that comes to mind is The Passage, which was about 800pgs.
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine read the Neal Stephenson books. He said it took him forever too but it was worth it. I have always fancied reading them. I completely forgot about Tad Williams. I read the Otherland series which were over 1000 pages each but I loved it.
ReplyDeleteHave not read either book. Following you on GFC. Stop by to find out what book I chose.
