Best of 2010 - Graphic Novels

I read a few new graphic novel series this year and they were all excellent.  Below are my favorites.

Sandman by Neil Gaiman

The Sandman Vol. 7: Brief Lives    The Sandman Vol. 8: Worlds' End
Specifically Brief Lives (review) and World's End (review).  This is a wonderful classic graphic novel series and has never disappointed me yet!

Bone by Jeff Smith
Bone, Vol. 1: Out From BonevilleBone, Volume 2: The Great Cow RaceBone, Volume 3: Eyes of the Storm
This has been another absolutely fantastic graphic novel series.  It is good for kids and adults alike.  It is funny and channels a Lord of the Rings type feel for the storyline; I loved everyone of the three I have read so far.

Amulet by Kazu Kibuishi
The Stonekeeper (Amulet, Book 1)The Stonekeeper's Curse (Amulet, Book 2)
Another great fantasy graphic novel series.  Loving the magic amulet and the other world.  The illustration is out of this world and the story very intriguing.  Appropriate for kids and adults alike.

Locke and Key by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguex
Locke & Key V.1: Welcome to Lovecraft HC
Very creepy and scary but wonderfully creative and beautiful drawings.  I am looking forward to reading more of this series.  Appropriate for young adult and older.
